NGMP is led by program Director, Dr. Amanda Ramer-Tait, and Associate Director, Dr. Jeff Price, who have extensive expertise in microbiology and immunology. NGMP also employs a laboratory manager and three gnotobiotic technicians. Altogether, our team brings nearly 100 years of experience to caring for and performing research studies with laboratory animals.
The NGMP also serves as a training facility for the next generation of microbiome researchers working with gnotobiotic models. Since its inception, the NGMP has hosted over 50 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and employed more 60 undergraduate students. NGMP trainees have subsequently obtained careers in the medical and veterinary fields, at biotechnology and food companies, and in academia as research associates and primary investigators.
